The Festival of Quilts is delighted to be returning to the NEC in July after a break in 2020 due to the pandemic.
The Festival is the largest celebration of patchwork and quilting in Europe, offering an immersive experience in which visitors can enjoy viewing thousands of quilts, hundreds of workshops and an enormous selection of over 300 suppliers under one roof. Quilters are encouraged to enter their work into competition, where it will be displayed alongside over 800 other entries and the chance to win huge cash prizes. For quilters all over the world, this event is not to be missed!
The organisers are taking steps to ensure the event is as safe as possible given the ongoing situation with the pandemic, and the show will be spread across four halls instead of three to ensure wide aisles and plenty of space to get around. There are already plans for longer opening hours, staggered start times to reduce crowding, enhanced cleaning processes and more, and the full list of safety measures will be available on the Festival of Quilts website.
Tickets will go on sale a bit later than usual in May, along with an exciting programme of workshops. The deadline for entering the competition is 4th June and full details can be found at www.thefestivalofquilts.co.uk.
