The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) has announced industrial action on:
Saturday 26 August & Saturday 2 September 2023
The Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF) union has also announced a day of industrial action on:
Friday 1 September 2023
What does this mean?
This industrial action is likely to result in little or no rail services across large areas of the network on the above 3 days.
Services are also likely to be disrupted and start later on the days immediately following a strike day.
For more information please visit the National Rail website & West Midlands Railway website.
What can I do?
- If you need to travel by train, please plan ahead, leave more time for your journey and check before you travel with local operators and National Rail. In many instances, services may not be running at all.
- Be prepared for busier roads across the region and allow more time for your journey. You can use the TfWM Journey Planner to plan your journey. For the most up-to-date information, follow us on @transportforwm on Twitter and Facebook.
- As well as the impact on the road network, bus and Metro services are likely to be busier so please allow more time for your journey.
- If you are attending events at the NEC, please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
