Rail strikes + M42 closures

Ongoing rail disruption is expected between 18 December and 2 January.  This will mean that rail services are likely to be less frequent and will start later and finish earlier. In addition, rail industrial action is also planned from 24 December – 29 December and 3 January – 7 January.

There will be no rail services on Thursday 5 January.

There will also be a phased temporary M42 full closure for HS2 works on:

• 9pm 23 December 2022 - 5am 3 January 2023. Southbound carriageway (Junctions 10 to 9)

• 8pm 24 December 2022 to 5am 3 January 2023. Northbound carriageway (Junctions 9 to 10) 

A signed diversion will be in place. Please plan ahead and leave more time for journeys.
