M42 Weekend Closure: 26th – 29th June

Major closures are planned on the M42 over the weekend, which may affect journeys to and from the NEC. Please allow extra time for your journey and follow the signed diversions.

The M42 (between Junction 5A – 7 Northbound and Junction 7-6 Southbound) will be closed from 9 PM on Friday 26^th June until 5 AM on Monday 29th June.

If approaching the NEC via M42 Northbound: Leave the M42 at Junction 5A and follow the diversion route along the A4545, then continue to follow diversion signs for the NEC.

If approaching the NEC via M42 Southbound, there are two diversion options:

• Option 1: Stay on the M42 and follow the diversion to join the M6 Southbound. Leave the M6 at Junction 3, rejoin the M6 Northbound, and exit at Junction 4. From J4, follow the A446 and signs for the NEC.
• Option 2: Follow any alternative local routes as signed.
