M42 J6 - Bickenhill Bridge

Please be aware that the Bickenhill Bridge located at M42 J6 has recently been demolished following safety inspections by National Highways. Diversion routes are in place while National Highways works on plans to replace the bridge.

Visitors travelling to the NEC should allow extra time, especially if travelling during busy periods.

What this means for your journey

• Inbound traffic to the NEC is not affected – although some delays may be experienced
• Traffic leaving the NEC via South Way will only be able to access M42 Northbound
• All other exiting traffic is being diverted off site via East Way and North Way (see attached)
