The Motability Scheme’s flagship show moves to the NEC

The Motability Scheme’s flagship show, The Big Event, has moved to the NEC and will be taking place in Halls 17 and 18 on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 July 2018.

The free to attend flagship event will showcase the UK’s largest display of cars, adaptations, scooters and powered wheelchairs for disabled people. Held over two great days, the free event brings together everything available on the Motability Scheme in one place.

The NEC is a great venue. Its the right place for our event.

Tom Swift, One Big Day Event Manager at Motability Operations Ltd, said: “The Big Event is incredibly popular and we’re excited to meet even more people when we head to the NEC for the first time, this summer. The NEC is a great venue and its central location, along with the accessibility of both the event space and parking facilities, made it the right place for our event. We hope it will provide an ideal opportunity for many disabled people and their families to find out about worry-free motoring with the Motability Scheme.”

Jenny Wright, NEC Business Development Executive said: “We are looking forward to welcoming The Big Event in July and working with the Motability Scheme to make this event as successful as possible. As a venue, we fully comply with the Equality Act ensuring we are accessible and user friendly for all visitors. We listen to any feedback given and make changes accordingly to provide the best possible customer experience.

“For example, customer feedback initiated the installation of the Changing Places accessible toilet which will be available for guests of The Big Event to use. The facilities include a changing bench, a ceiling host system, height adjustable washbasins and Clos-o-Mat wash and dry (automatic) toilets.”
