Opening date for Moxy Birmingham NEC now set

Famed for theming the hotels in respect of their locality, Moxy’s newest addition to their growing portfolio will be no different.  Moxy Birmingham NEC will be filled with stylish nods to the music industry at the heart of its interior design, thanks to also being within walking distance of Resorts World arena, that hosts some of the world’s most famous bands and musicians.

Creating 21 jobs, Belvar, the management group operating the hotel, has drafted in 36 year old Vicky Glover to head up the opening, bringing with her a wealth of experience to the new, young Moxy brand.  Originally from Bromsgrove in Worcestershire, Vicky has worked in the hospitality industry for over 16 years with the Holiday Inn Express chain.  She has been instrumental in opening two hotels previously including Redditch and - one of the biggest Holiday Inn Express hotels in the country - Holiday Inn Express Birmingham-City Centre.  On being appointed ‘Captain’, the brand’s take on a General Manager, Vicky commented; “This is a fantastic new challenge for me and I’m excited to bring the Moxy brand to a city that I know so well.   Travellers will discover something unique at the hotel with phenomenal high-tech features, buzzing social spaces and a real fun vibe to the communal areas and bedrooms.”
