Is there plenty of parking?

We’ve got over 16,500 spaces available, including designated parking areas for blue badge holders, so you won’t need to search for a spot when you get here. Head to our dedicated Car Parking page to find out more about our options and charges.

Is on-site transport available?

We operate a free shuttle bus service between all car parks and halls during exhibitions. These usually start running one hour before the event and stop one hour after the event. You’ll find service times and alternative walking routes at all our bus shelters.

Can I give my electric car a power boost?

Unfortunately, we’re not currently able to offer electric car charging services but we are looking into it. As soon as we can, we’ll be sure to update our website and let you know.

Can you recommend a taxi company?

Our black cab partners TOA Taxis are available 24/7 at the NEC. To book, simply call 0121 427 8888 or 0800 0142 729, visit toataxis.co.uk or use their handy TOA app.

Do you provide Wi-Fi access?

We understand the need to stay connected, which is why we provide free visitor Wi-Fi across the NEC - no code required.

Where do I buy and collect my tickets?

Head straight to our kiosks open during the events to pick up and buy your tickets. These are located around the venue.

Do you offer medical assistance?

We always have trained first aid staff available in the event of an accident or incident. Just ask the nearest member of staff for immediate assistance.

Where’s the nearest cash machine?

We actually have a NatWest bank on-site, which you’ll find in the Piazza. You’ll also find portable cash dispensers (some which charge) around the venue, while free NatWest and HSBC ATMs can be found at the train station.

Can I change my foreign currency?

No problem. You’ll find a Bureau de Change kiosk at Birmingham International Railway Station, which is just a short walk away.

Do you offer a cloakroom facility?

If you’re looking to dump your coat or bags for the day, take advantage of our cloakroom facilities that are available next to our halls. Items are charged at £1 each. Unfortunately, we’re currently unable to offer overnight storage lockers. Sorry.

Do you have a lost property area?

It happens to us all, so if you’ve lost something at the NEC head to our Security Office at either the Piazza or Atrium and we’ll do our best to help. Alternatively, call our Lost Property Department on 0121 767 3883.

Are there many places to eat and drink?

Can I smoke at the NEC?

Sorry, smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the venue aside from our designated smoking areas. No excuses, no exceptions. This also applies to e-cigarettes and vaping. Our designated smoking areas are outside the Piazza entrance, the Piazza garden (weather and daylight permitting) and just off the Atrium main entrances.

Is the NEC accessible for disabled visitors?

Absolutely. We’ve worked tirelessly to make our venue fully accessible to all our guests. Head to our Facilities page for further details. And if you can think of any other ways we could improve our accessibility, we’d love to hear them.

Do you have disabled toilets and changing facilities?

In addition to our standard disabled toilets we have a Changing Places toilet, which provides additional space for up to two carers. It also includes height-adjustable changing benches and a hoist system.

Can I hire mobility scooters and wheelchairs?

We’ve teamed up with the experts in mobility healthcare, Bartrams, to ensure a fleet of mobility vehicles is available at every event. Manual wheelchairs are free of charge to blue badge holders, or £5 per day for other visitors. Electric scooters are £15 per day for all visitors. We strongly recommend pre-booking equipment to avoid disappointment, so please call Bartrams booking line on 01353 653 752 (Mon – Fri 09:00 – 17:00).

Are babies and children welcome at the NEC?

Of course, we love kids at the NEC. That’s why you’ll find baby facilities throughout the venue. We also offer additional services such as our complimentary Children Identification Wristbands, which can be picked up from our Visitor and Business Centres as well as our Security Offices in either the Piazza or Atrium.

Please be aware that some trade shows don’t permit children, so it’s always best to check with the organiser before you bring the little ones with you.

Do you offer additional business services?

The NEC has always been a place where serious business takes place, which is why we make it seriously easy. At our two Visitor and Business Centres you’ll find a host of services including photocopying, printing and courier services, plus all the stationery you could ever need. Is there somewhere I can pray?

Our multi-faith prayer room is an ideal place for prayer, reflection and meditation. The room includes washing facilities should you require them and is located between Halls 1 and 2 in the Piazza, right next to our Chaplaincy Office. There is also a prayer room in the Atrium.

Can I bring my dog to the NEC?

Sorry, but only assistance dogs are permitted on our premises. The only exception being those lucky enough to be invited to Crufts of course.
