Who Do You Think You Are? Live, the world’s biggest family history show, will take place at the NEC, Birmingham (Hall 2) from 16-18 April 2015, re-locating to the Midlands from London’s Olympia.
Based on the hugely successful TV series, the event is now firmly established in the family history calendar and organisers Immediate Media Co are forecasting 14,000 visitors over three days.
“Who Do You Think You Are? Live has the well-deserved reputation as the world’s biggest family history show and is the place where family trees are created and extended,” said Andy Healy, Who Do You Think You Are? Live Show Director. “We’re at the stage now where we want to grow the event even further, and our move to the NEC will enable us to do that by attracting a truly national audience in a flexible venue which gives us the opportunity to expand.”
David Gallagher, the NEC’s New Business Development Manager, added: “The NEC is a natural home for a show of this scale. Our location, as well as the venue’s size and flexibility, will be key to delivering the audience the organisers are after – and we consistently deliver the right audience for the right show. Our Research & CRM team backed this up with their research findings which told us that over six million people fitting this show’s specific visitor profile were situated within a two hour drive of the NEC.”
Who Do You Think You Are? Live gives visitors the opportunity to share the passion and expertise of family historians and engage with key exhibitors and sponsors such as Ancestry.co.uk, part of the world's largest online family history resource and the show’s centrepiece attraction.
The Society of Genealogists’ workshop programme, a dedicated ‘Ask the Experts’ area and the opportunity to meet celebrities from the hit TV series all add to the visitor experience.
