We're supporting Global Exhibitions Day 2019

Today we're celebrating Global Exhibitions Day 2019!

Held annually on the first Wednesday of June, Global Exhibitions Day (GED) celebrates the exhibition industry's contribution to the global economy - with thousands of professionals all over the world getting involved.

GED includes a broad mix of activities, both onsite and online, to promote exhibitions as business platforms as well as career and business development opportunities in the industry. Events and activities are arranged by many of the international and national organisers, venues, service providers, and also by national and regional associations.

Kathryn James - Managing Director, Conventions & Exhibitions- NEC Group

“We take great pride in being part of such a complex and diverse industry that extends across the globe.  Worth over $137 billion in direct spend and supporting 1.3 million jobs, exhibitions continue to be a valuable way of communicating with key audiences and doing business.”

Ian Taylor - Venue Sales Director, Conventions & Exhibitions - NEC Group

“Whether you are a big or small business, exhibitions are an extremely powerful marketing tool.  They offer the opportunity for you to get in front of your target customers and have face to face conversations – which is so important in this digital age.  As the customer, it’s a one-stop-shop for wares you are interested in purchasing, and a valuable opportunity to learn out about new products and services.”

Gary Masters - NEC Campus Manager

“The NEC venue supports thousands of jobs in the Midlands, delivering a pivotal contribution to our regional economy.  There are so many different roles that support the operation of a venue such as ours.  Everything from event managers to IT specialists, marketing to site operations is involved, which makes the exhibitions industry such a fun and diverse industry to work in.”
