Music Live is the UK’s favourite music-making event. Celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2009, the show is held at the Birmingham NEC each November and attracts in excess of 22,000 visitors over three days.

Inspirational and educational Music Live, which this year takes place from Friday 6 – Sunday 8 November, features a mouth-watering equipment exhibition that showcases – and lets visitors get their hands on – the world’s best guitar, drum, keyboard and recording gear. And with the involvement of the show’s retail partners, Music Live is a great place to pick up very special deals on the latest gear.
Exciting live performances are also part of the Music Live experience. This year acoustic guitar wizard and YouTube phenomenon Erik Mongrain, new UK bands Cars On Fire and They Fell From The Sky and Ocean Colour Scene’s Damon Minchella are all scheduled for Live Stage shows and masterclasses. On Sunday 8 November, the Live Stage is given over to some of the country’s finest tribute bands – including Iron Maiden tribute Hi-On Maiden – in a recreation of the classic 1988 Donnington Monsters Of Rock bill.
These artists join the likes of Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Duff McKagan (Velvet Revolver, Guns n’Roses) and Rick Parfitt (Status Quo), who have all appeared at Music Live in the last three years.
To round off the live element of Music Live, this year the show ‘hosts’ the Hellfire Festival, the UK’s premier independent rock and metal festival. Taking place on the Music Live stage each evening of the show, Hellfire features some classic names alongside hot new talent, from Saxon and Anvil to Sylosis and Blakfish.
