Foodex 2010, the new name for Foodex Meatex, will take place at Birmingham’s NEC on 21 - 24 March 2010.

Foodex 2010 is the exhibition for anyone involved in food and drink processing, packaging and retailing. Following extensive research, William Reed Business Media took the decision to re brand in order to communicate the broad appeal of the show from meat, poultry, fish and dairy, through to vegetables, drinks and ready meals.

The food and drink sector is the largest area of manufacturing in the UK, with a turnover of more than £70bn and employing over 500,000 people. Although Foodex Meatex has always played host to exhibitors from across the whole food and drink sector, it has been perceived as a predominantly meat show. Declaring that the new look Foodex, will create an efficient and cost effective business environment, Daren Rose-Neale said “the new branding is vital for the future development of the show and will target all major sectors including:

• Meat @ Foodex
• Fresh @ Foodex
• Dairy @ Foodex
• Beverages @ Foodex
