The Festival of Quilts is the largest patchwork and quilting exhibition in Europe.
Quilts are displayed in their thousands to form a spectacle of colour and artistry; all quilts entered into competition are hung, as well as those made by professional artists which are presented in simple, spacious galleries.
Over 250 companies sell specialist patchwork and quilting supplies, as well as more general textile art and craft supplies. The Quilting in Action area consists of around 20 quilt artists who demonstrate throughout the day to help engage you in their passion.
Take a Quick & Easy Workshop to learn a new skill, or if you want something more advanced, try the Academy sessions. Choose between one, two and three day masterclasses, half day sessions or lectures. And there’s also the events that take place every evening.
The Gala Dinner celebrates the winners of the competitions, but there’s also less formal events including An Evening with Kaffe Fassett and a trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon to see the RSC’s Romeo and Juliet. We’ve arranged special rates with the local hotels to enable you to stay all weekend and make the most of the show; there’s plenty to keep you busy throughout all four days of the event.
