NEC to host RCN Bulletin Jobs Fair

The National Exhibition Centre (NEC) will host the next Midlands edition of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Bulletin Jobs Fair - the largest recruitment event for nurses in the Midlands. The NEC event will take place in the venue’s Pavilion from 3-4 March 2016.

The RCN has previously hosted its Midlands edition of the Bulletin Jobs Fair at Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum but has chosen to move to the NEC to accommodate growing visitor numbers.

The event, which will include seminars as well as an exhibition element, offers qualified nurses looking for a new job or to develop their career the opportunity to meet leading employers and agencies with immediate vacancies. Nurses will also be able to visit the free revalidation seminars that will take place on both days of the event. The seminars will explain the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s changes to registration and give delegates the chance to ask experts about the new process.”

Katherina Breen, Event Manager for the RCN, said: “We hosted our first RCN Bulletin Jobs Fair in Birmingham in 2015 and had an extremely successful show so we are looking forward to returning in 2016. The NEC is a fantastic well-established venue having been in operation for 40 years and we plan to call on its experience of the exhibition industry to help us enhance our visitor experience.”

Jenny Wright, Business Development Executive at the NEC, said: “We are excited to welcome the Royal College of Nursing to the NEC for the first time. Our location in the heart of the Midlands coupled with our fantastic transport links by road and rail means that visitors from across the region will be able to travel to the show with ease. We expect to welcome around 1000 visitors to the two day show.”

In 2016, the RCN will also host Bulletin Jobs Fairs in Manchester, Glasgow and London.
