Event Security & Stewarding
Your dedicated in-house Security Event Manager can provide you with a Security package that will meet the specific requirements for your event. Our team will assist through the planning stages and will be there on the floor helping you to deliver your exhibition’s specific requirements and assisting you with SIA Legislation.
Our specialist teams work with you, drawing on experience from thousands of events, with detailed knowledge of the Venue, to provide you with the level of security your event requires. Services can include ticket checking, searching where appropriate, access control, seating, stewarding, security guarding, Door Supervisors or visitor management. Our Front of House staff are conversant with the latest technology for print at home tickets, and can carry out the appropriate scanning function if required. Our meet and greet officers offer a softer approach to normal ‘Security’ officers. Another unique service which we can provide to Clients is that of the Client Associate, where an Organiser can hire a Member of Staff as a general factotum and fixer.
Dedicated security and stewarding services can also be provided for individual exhibitors and stands.
Exhibitor Security and Front of House Services
The NEC Security Department is able to provide Door Supervisors, Security Guards and Front of House staff to work directly for exhibitors on their stands. All staff are fully vetted in line with British Standards, trained and licensed in accordance with the Private Security Industry Act. All officers deployed have direct contact with the main security control room and on site supervision.
Whether it is a visible security presence you are looking for, a low key plain clothes security presence, welcoming Front of House concierge or overnight security guard, our service can be tailored to your needs. Visitor Management
Smooth arrival at an event doesn’t just happen; it has to be managed, particularly where there are large numbers of visitors arriving. Our dedicated visitor management team can be deployed to ensure that visitors reach your event as quickly and safely as possible. We will work with you to provide a well co-ordinated and communicated plan from the arrival at the car park, through the ticketing and the arrival at your show. We will manage-
- Ticket buying/collects, queuing to enter before the exhibition/show opens and the ticket check.
- We can control a multi site let and reduce the impact to site and your event through thorough planning.
