Do you pay commission?

Yes, The NEC pays 8% commission on rental only excluding VAT. All other associated costs are non-commissionable. The commission applies to all conferences within the conference suites and halls.

Is there car parking on site?

Yes, free car parking is available to all conference delegates. There are over 20,000 car park spaces and you will be allocated the most relevant car park dependent on what other events are taking place at the venue.

Is WiFi available at The NEC?

Yes. WiFi Zones exist with the public areas and access costs £5 for one hour. Scratch cards can be purchased from the Visitor Centres within the Piazza and Atrium.

How does an event work in a blank space?

If your number of delegate is exceeds our largest purpose built conference suite, we can look at utilising one of the many halls at The NEC for your event. By taking an event into a blank space, it offers you endless possibilities to create your perfect event. An Account Manager will discuss your requirements to understand how much space you require and a detailed proposal will be sent to you. For more information regarding larger events at the NEC, please contact a member of the team on 0121-767 2782.

Who will look after me on the day of my event?

An Event Manager will be assigned to you and will work with you to produce a schedule for your event, which will include layouts, timings and catering requirements. Your Event Manager will meet with you when you come on to site and be on call throughout your time at The NEC.

Do you have a list of hotels on site and nearby?

There are 5 hotels situated on The NEC site:

  • Ramada Encore (3 star) - 166 rooms

What is the nearest train station?

The NEC is directly linked to Birmingham International Train Station via a covered bridgelink, which will lead you directly in to the Piazza area of The NEC. For more information on travelling to The NEC please visit our Travel pages.

How close are you to the airport?

Birmingham International Airport is linked to the train station via an Air-Rail link. This takes approximately 2 minutes from the Airport to the Train station and then your guests can follow the bridgelink across to the Piazza.
