NEC Group lands contracts with Brick Shows Ltd.

The National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and The Ticket Factory (TTF) – both part of the NEC Group – have landed contracts with BRICK Shows Ltd. The NEC, the UK’s number one venue, will host a new edition of BRICK 2015, the innovative LEGO™ exhibition whilst leading ticketing expert TTF has been named as the main sales agent for the show.

After the sell-out success of BRICK 2014 in London, organisers are set to launch a new edition of the show to offer even more fans the opportunity to experience the exhibition dedicated to the popular LEGO™ toy. Based in the heart of the country, within a three hour drive time of 75% of the UK population, the NEC proved the ideal location to reach a wider audience.

Kathryn James, Managing Director of the NEC, said: “The NEC provides the perfect backdrop to grow the BRICK 2015 show, spreading the fun across the UK and with this in mind; we believe that the NEC edition of BRICK can become the exhibition’s national event, joining the ranks of other leading UK consumer events, the majority of which are hosted at the NEC.

“The NEC has unrivalled transport links by road and rail, which means excited fans from across the UK will be able to travel with ease to our venue to experience what we are confident will be a fantastic show.”

The Ticket Factory contract with BRICK Shows Ltd. will include the management of advance sales, ticket fulfilment and marketing support for BRICK 2015 at the NEC. The ticketing agent will also manage the on-site ticket box office during the show.

Managing Director of The Ticket Factory, Stuart Cain said “The guys at BRICK have created a brilliant show, building on the global appeal of a real classic brand.  I can’t imagine many people that haven’t played with it at some point in their childhood – and beyond for the more creative adult!  We’re looking forward to working with the team and making the show a success in Birmingham.”

This is the latest contract win for the ticket agency, whose other clients include the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS Chelsea Flower Show), Haymarket Exhibitions (Clothes Show Live) and River Street Events (BBC Good Food Shows and BBC Gardeners’ World Live).

Clive Nørgaard Morton, Director of BRICK Shows, said: “The response to our inaugural show in London was incredible, with tickets selling out much faster than anticipated. When we started talking about a second location, the obvious place to bring BRICK was to Birmingham so we can welcome LEGO fans from all over the West Midlands and beyond. It's the ideal place to spend the October half-term.”

BRICK 2015 will take place at the NEC from Thursday 29 October to Sunday 1 November. Tickets for the event are now on sale at www.theticketfactory.com/brick.
